SIPRP supported ARIA, IPSS (Rehabilitation and Assistance Integration Association, Private Social Welfare Institution) in the undertaking of clinical analyses and medical appointments aimed at promoting the health of the participants of the Living in Balance Programme. The principal objective of this programme is to help people with mental health problems to acquire better health habits and intervene in the area of weight increase due to sedentary lifestyles.

ARIA was created in 1991 by a group of Technical Staff of the Psychiatry and Mental Health Department of Hospital São Francisco Xavier, and over this time its mission has been to assist people with mental health problems to acquire the necessary resources for their rehabilitation and social and professional integration, encouraging them in the acquisition of social and economic autonomy, through the development of social and professional skills.
