The Authority for Labour Conditions (ACT), in collaboration with the Directorate-General for Consumers, has developed a brochure which informs consumers, particularly the younger ones, of the existence of new hazard pictograms, that have different colour and format, and are found on many of the chemical products used in our daily life, such as detergents, paints and varnishes.

Currently, and up to 2017, so that economic operators can sell their products, two types of safety pictograms can be found on the market: those with an orange background in quadrangular format, and the new pictograms with a white background and red border, of a diamond shape.
